Dear Members and Friends:
The Southampton Business & Professional Association will meet Tuesday, April 26th at 11:45 a.m. followed by our noon luncheon meeting at Davisville Church located at 325 Street Road in Southampton with “Catering by George”. Cost for the catered lunch is $11.00, however, if reservations are made, a discount of one dollar will be given. The management must have our head count by Monday. We, therefore, MUST RECEIVE YOUR RESPONSE BY FRIDAY, April 22nd, 2005. Please cooperate with this request and R.S.V.P. early to 215 322-1715.
SPEAKER …Our April speaker will be Patricia Walker, Executive Editor of The Bucks County Courier and a Southampton resident.
GEORGE LYNCH MEMORIAL GOLF OUTING…As I write this newsletter, I am enjoying the sunny skies we have been having lately and speaking of warm weather our upcoming golf outing is scheduled for Thursday, May 19th at the Northampton Country Club. Our aim is to surpass last year’s successful outing. We need players, sponsors, and party people as well as volunteers. Our Chairman is Bonnie Halbreiner. If you wish to add your name to the committee list or as a player, contact Bonnie @ 215 441-1452.We have flyers available to be given out at each business. We will have a corporate package available for $600.00. This will include 4 golfers, lunch, awards banquet and tee sponsor. We also need raffle items. If you have any prizes you wish to donate, contact Tom Turnbach at 215 953-8127.
BUSINESS CARD EXCHANGE – The date of June 6th has been chosen for our Business Card Exchange. It will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. More details to follow.
THEATER NEWS - The Village Players of Hatboro will be performing in the comedy show “Are You Being Served”, with proceeds to benefit the John O. Danenberger Foundation.. It will be held on June 9th, 7:30 p.m at 401 Jefferson Avenue in Warminster.. Tickets are $10.00. Proceeds provide scholarships to graduating Southampton high school seniors. If you are interested and need tickets, contact John Held @ 215 322-9630
SOUTHAMPTON DAYS – Summer will be here shortly and with it our celebration of the 4th of July. Our Annual Spaghetti Night Dinner will be held Wednesday, July 6th. Let’s have all our members come and support this event. For the balance of the week we will have our usual food booth with pork roll and sausage cooked to perfection. Remember for all these events to come to pass, we must have VOLUNTEERS. Sign up sheets will be circulated at our upcoming luncheon meeting. Please be prepared to give us some help.
FLEA MARKET – Mark your calendar. Our Annual Flea Market will be held once again on Oscar Huber's' ground on Sunday, October 16th. We will keep you posted as we get additional information.
