Dear Members & Friends:
The Southampton Business & Professional Association will meet Tuesday, April
27th, 2004 at 11:45 followed by our noon luncheon meeting at Davisville Church,
located at 325 Street Road in Southampton with "Catering by George". Please use
the office entrance which is located downstairs. Cost for the catered lunch is
$11.00, however, if reservations are made, a discount of one dollar will be
given. The management must have our luncheon count by Monday. We, therefore,
MUST RECEIVE YOUR RESPONSE BY FRIDAY, April 23rd. Please cooperate with this
request and R.S.V.P. early to 215 322-1715.
APRIL SPEAKER - This month we have Bill Hubbard, Principal Consultant for
the Y2 Marketing Co. which is the nations largest and fastest growing marketing
fulfllness service firm. They were recently ranked 28th on Inc. magazine's list
of privately owned, fastest growing companies of the United States.
MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORIES - April is the month... We are definitely
distributing our new directories at the next luncheon meeting. Please stop by
and take a copy.
JULY 4TH, 2004 - SOUTHAMPTON DAYS - As I write this newsletter, I hear
the sound of the continuous rain drops from the constant gray skies. Don't
despair, Summer will be here shortly and with it our celebration of the 4th of
July. Our Annual Spaghetti Night Dinner will be held Wednesday, July 7th. Let's
have all our members come and support this event. For the balance of the week,
we will have our usual food booth with pork roll and sausage cooked to
perfection. Also in store for everyone is an exciting new feature. On Saturday,
July 10th from 2 p.m - 8 p.m. there will be 150 antique show cars on display at
Klinger. Susan Tinari is handling this project and is in need of any give-a-ways
that your bank or business may donate. See Susan at the luncheon or contact her
@215 322-2372. Remember, for all these events to come to pass, we must have
VOLUNTEERS. Please be prepared to give us some help...
GEORGE W. LYNCH GOLF OUTING - Speaking of warm weather, our upcoming golf
outing is scheduled for Thursday, May 13th at Northampton Country Club. Our aim
is to surpass our last year's successful outing. We need sponsors as well as
golfers to add to our list. See Chairman Matt Davis at the luncheon or contact
him at 215 942-7814 and reserve now.
DANENBERGER FOUNDATION - Our own John Held along with the Village Players
of Hatboro will be performing in the Bermuda Avenue Triangle, a show with
proceeds to benefit the Foundation, will be held on Thursday, June 10th @ 401
Jefferson Avenue in Warminster. The cost of the ticket is $10.00 with light
refreshments offered. For tickets see John Held, Tom Turnbach, Bruce Beaton or
Gregg Crompton.
MEMBERSHIP DRIVE - Remember, a complimentary lunch will be provided to
any prospective new member with advance notice. Tell your friends.
BREAKFAST MEETING - How does Belgian Waffles sound? There's a strong
possibility that will be our Chef George's choice for our future Breakfast
Meeting to be held in June. Just a change from a Luncheon.... More details to
follow.
PA. FREE ENTERPRISE WEEK - is sponsored by the Foundation for Free
Enterprise Education. It actually consists of four weeks, July 3-10, July 10-17,
July 24-31 and July 31-Aug 7. They are looking for Company Advisors. If you have
