March 9th, 2004

Dear Members & Friends:

The Southampton Business & Professional Association will meet Tuesday, March 23rd, 2004 at 11:45 followed by our noon luncheon meeting at Davisville Church, located at 325 Street Road in Southampton with "Catering by George". Please use the office entrance which is located downstairs. Cost for the catered lunch is $11.00, however, if reservations are made, a discount of one dollar will be given. The management must have our luncheon count by Monday. We, therefore, MUST RECEIVE YOUR RESPONSE BY FRIDAY, March 19th. Please cooperate with this request and R.S.V.P. early to 215 322-1715.

MARCH SPEAKER - Cathy Windland from Windland Marketing Group who will speak on How to Promote Your Business will be our March guest.

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORIES - We hope to have our new directories available for distribution at our March luncheon. Please stop by and take a copy.

JULY 4TH, 2004 - SOUTHAMPTON DAYS - Surrounded as we are by cold winter weather, it's time to turn our thoughts to sunny skies, hence Independence Day. Our Annual Spaghetti Night Dinner will be held Wednesday, July 7th. Let's have all our members come and support this event. For the balance of the week, we will have our usual food booth with pork roll and sausage cooked to perfection. Also in store for everyone is an exciting new feature. On Saturday, July 10th from 2 p.m - 8 p.m. there will be 150 antique show cars on display at Klinger. Susan Tinari is handling this project and is in need of any give-a-ways that your bank or business may donate. See Susan at the luncheon or contact her @215 322-2372.

GOLF OUTING - While we're dreaming of beautiful weather let's not forget our upcoming Golf Outing. The date is Thursday, May 13th at Northampton Country Club. Plans are progressing but as usual we are looking for sponsors as well as players. Matt Davis is Chairman of this event with Bill Smith handling hole sponsors. See Bill at the luncheon or Tom Turnbaugh who is taking care of door prizes. Registration time at the park is 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch, golf and dinner. A putting contest is also in store Chaired by Al Hertenberger. Sounds like a fun time to me...

On Monday, March 1, 2004, George W. Lynch pased away after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. George was a lifelong resident of Southampton and was a prominent member of the Southampton Business & Professional Association, as well as the entire community. He was involved with numerous groups and organizations in Southampton and he will be missed by many.

GEORGE W. LYNCH GOLF OUTING - Our golf outing now has a proud name.

DANENBERGER FOUNDATION - Our own John Held along with the Village Players of Hatboro will be performing in the Bermuda Avenue Triangle, a show with proceeds to benefit the Foundation, will be held on Thursday, June 10th @ 401 Jefferson Avenue in Warminster. The cost of the ticket is $10.00 with light refreshments offered. For tickets see John Held, Tom Turnbach, Bruce Beaton or Gregg Crompton.

CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD DINNER - The annual dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, March 24, 2004 @ 6:30 pm and is being held at the Hampton Hall, Southampton Fire House. The cost for the dinner is $20.00 per person. Anyone interested in attending as part of the Southampton Business & Professional Association should call 215 322-1715 or see John Held or Ron Schumann.

DONATE A PHONE - Our own Al Hertenberger along with the Centennial School District is involved in this worthwhile program. Now you have a place to donate your used cell phone where it will be put to good use. See the attached flyer for particulars.

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE - Remember, a complimentary lunch will be provided to any prospective new member with advance notice. Tell your friends.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT - A breakfast meeting... How does that sound? Let's discuss it....

See you on the 23rd.
